Storm and hail damage

Hail and hard wind cross Northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma every spring. One squall can bruise a shingle slope, crack a pipe boot, dent a vent, and lift a ridge, while the other side of the house still looks ordinary from the yard. Granules in the gutter are a clue. They are not the inspection. The useful check is the deck, the flashing, and whether water has a path inside. On a metal roof, hail may leave dents without opening a hole. Those are different findings, and we tell you which one is on your roof. A cabin under trees can hide hail marks on the open slope and a damp, mossy side in the shade, so both sides get looked at.

If you are talking to your insurance company, we can help you document the damage and we can be there when the adjuster looks at the roof. We walk it, point out what is bruised, cracked, or open, and explain it in plain language. That is the help we offer. We do not promise that a claim will be approved or paid. Your insurer makes that decision. We also do not pay your deductible. Our work is the roof, and a clear record of what the storm did to it.

The repair-or-replace question is the same one we use on a calm day. A few broken tabs and a cracked boot can be a repair when the rest of the roof is sound. Bruising across a slope, a soft deck, or a second layer that was already tired is a replacement. We will not stretch the damage to make a claim look larger, and we will not patch a roof that cannot keep water out just to end the visit. Either way, the estimate is free, and we say which job fits the house.

A replacement after a storm typically takes 1 to 3 days once it is scheduled, depending on the size of the roof and the weather. Every residential job includes a 2-year warranty. Call or text 903-348-7733, or send the form with the town and what you have noticed since the storm. We are based in Sulphur Springs. We work anywhere, including Northeast Texas and Hochatown, OK. If the hail hit a cabin by the lake or a house on a county road, call about that location.
