Roofing in Pittsburg, TX

Pittsburg is the Camp County seat, southeast of Sulphur Springs and south of Mount Pleasant, in the pine woods. The town is small, with a downtown and residential streets of brick homes, frame houses, and a few newer places mixed in. Outside town the houses sit among pines, and some are cabins or country houses rather than a tight subdivision. Needles, shade, and a humid summer are the everyday conditions. A roof here is rarely the bare suburban rectangle you see farther west. It has trees on it, a porch, and at least one valley that stays damp.

Storms still come through Camp County. Hail and wind in the spring mark shingles and lift edges even under a pine canopy, usually on the slope that faces the weather. The rest of the year the pines do the slow work: needles pack behind a chimney and in a valley, hold moisture, and give moss a place to start on the shaded side. A limb from an ice event or a thunderstorm can crack a ridge without anyone noticing until the next hard rain. Heat on the open parts of the roof dries asphalt until it cracks, while the shaded parts stay soft. Treating the whole roof as one condition misses that split.

Pacheco Roofing puts new roofs, tear-offs, overlays, and metal roofs on Pittsburg homes. Metal shows up often in these woods because it sheds needles and handles the shade better than a worn asphalt valley. It is not the automatic answer. If the deck is sound and there is one layer of shingles, an overlay can still be the right spend, and we will say that. If the valley is rotten or the shingles are the second layer already, we tear off and replace bad wood as we find it. A porch and a main house roof get flashed where they join, instead of caulked and hoped over.

We come from Sulphur Springs for a free estimate. Call or text 903-348-7733, or send the form and include what the roof has been doing, leaks, missing tabs, or just age. Every residential job includes a 2-year warranty. Pittsburg is close enough that the drive is part of a normal day, and it is not a boundary. We travel and work anywhere. If you are in the country around Camp County or past it, call about that location.

The kind of roofs we install
